Cumulonimbus are developed by clouds forming masses, accompanied by thunderstorms and showers; clouds towering with their top in the shape of  a cauliflower. Cumulonimbus are the most dramatic types of clouds. When I first saw cumulonimbus clouds, I was very shocked, I think Cumulonimbus are very beautiful, spectacular, there are kind of magic, they make me want to go to do something about them. The colour of  the clouds is grey , thin clouds are white, when they become too thick and sunlight doesn’t pass through them, they can look gray or black. With heavy rains and thunderstorms Cumulonimbus clouds can start from very close to the ground and they can develop to an altitude of 13000 meters. Cumulonimbus clouds seem to have a sense of magic, they let me want to break through the imprisonment of bottom layers and to enjoy the high light and beauty. It is similar to what can happen to a person’s life; when all the backlog of pain and suffering setbacks to a certain extent, there is always a breaking out that overcome the chaotic period of thunders and lightnings and thunderstorms, breaking through the confine, we will then be able to reach a new land.

Arianna Bonifazi: Roots

The tree is the major organ in nature, its operation can be compared to the real and concrete life of a person; it comes to life, it feeds, breathes, reproduces, and dies. At the base of it there are the roots: a fundamental part for life (as fundamental for human beings).
My project explores the journey of a tree during which, through the roots, it absorbs everything necessary for its growth.
The word root have different meanings but in any case its task is to absorb something: minerals, culture, sap, knowledge, traditions. Each person, on his-her way of growing, tramples on  various and unknown territories, absorbing new experiences, knowing new faces and trying new emotions. The roots, as in reality, are the basis of my project; in which they, intertwined and entangled, cover the feet and form the shoes.

cinzia galia: “SPLAT” WALKING ON EGGS

The vision of a possible footprint that I have materialised comes from the idea of “walking on eggs”, breaking the shells and splatting the content.

Thinking about the difficulties that you may experience by walking slowly in order not to break the eggs.

Some people experiment to step on the eggs without breaking them, if this happens it means that all the eggs were perfectly been placed on their axis of gravity.

There are many symbolic means regarding eggs since ancient history; their perfect shape, the pureness of their geometry and above all the power of their shell as a container of the consciousness and of  the mystery of the universal knowledge.

For me an egg is a strong symbol of mystical consciousness: it has an inside and an outside.

I personally approach this topic gently as I already know that  it’s impossible not to break the eggs

FRANCESCA AZZONI: Bloom where you are planted

The meanings that a footprint leads to are manifold, from a common mark left on the ground,  developing it as a metaphor for features that characterize every individual.
Starting from these concepts the project “Bloom where you are planted” develops in its central theme: the signature left by an invented character, a flower.
Thinking about a possible alter ego that would leave a footprint, I imagined what kind of sign could leave a wild flower in a ostile environment.
In the consumed world where we live, flowers that grow between concrete are a strong symbol of hope and attraction to life, a factor that led me to choose this subject for the project.
